WHL FINAL NOTES: Oil Kings missing big weapon for Game 5

Guenther was injured in Game 3 of the best-of-seven series against the Seattle Thunderbirds when he took a hit along the boards from Lukas Svejkovsky early in the second period

The Edmonton Oil Kings have a star-studded lineup but were missing one of their biggest weapons heading into Game 5 of the Western Hockey League Final at Rogers Place on Saturday, as forward Dylan Guenther was out.

Guenther was injured in Game 3 of the best-of-seven series against the Seattle Thunderbirds when he took a hit along the boards from Lukas Svejkovsky early in the second period. Guenther left the game and has not played since.

Regardless, the Oil Kings were able to win Game 3 and Game 4, on the road against the Thunderbirds to take a 3-1 series lead, giving themselves a chance to clinch the title Saturday.
