Guardians rained out Monday against Texas Rangers; rescheduled as doubleheader at 3:10 pm Tuesday

Storms washed away another Guardians home game Monday as the scheduled series opener against the Texas Rangers was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up Tuesday afternoon as part of a traditional doubleheader with a 3:10 p.m. first pitch at Progressive Field.

Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. for the makeup game. Only fans with tickets to Tuesday’s contest will be able to attend. Fans holding tickets for Monday’s game will be able to exchange into one of 13 game options, including Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Fans holding tickets to the originally scheduled June 7 game who want to attend both games of the doubleheader may do so and will have the same seat for both games. Fans are able to use the full value of their June 6 tickets in their My Tickets account when exchanging into the designated games (additional fees may apply). Tickets must be exchanged by Friday, July 15 at 5 p.m. ET.

After enjoying three days of beautiful weather in Cleveland while the Guardians played in Baltimore, manager Terry Francona said he’s given up on playing amateur meteorologist.
