Depp v Heard: Question from jury sparks stunning prediction from top lawyer Emily D. Baker

The question was whether they found the headline of the op-ed – which read, “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath” – to be false.

Sharing on her live YouTube stream, former LA District Attorney Emily D. Baker stated that based on this jury question, she believed the jury could be “very close” to delivering a verdict.

“Because I think if they find abuse in a broad form, which it can be, that is the count he can win on. That is what I think they are contemplating. That is my speculation based on this question. This is very much reading tea leaves.

“They are asking, ‘Is the defamatory statement the headline?’ And when you look at that headline being the defamatory statement, that is a question that if you are Rottenborn and Elaine, you are sitting there saying ‘F***. This is what they’re contemplating.’”
