5 wise wagers for this weekend's games

There are quite a few favorable matchups for hitters on the first Saturday of June, so we’ll focus on some of those as we look at how to approach DraftKings Sportsbook.

Peña has crushed left-handed pitching this season, especially since the start of May. The rookie has a 40 percent hard-contact rate against lefties since May 1, which has led to a .417 ISO and .543 wOBA. Of the four home runs Peña has hit since the start of May, three came against left-handed pitching.

Another long ball could easily come against Kris Bubic (Peña is +600 to hit a home run on Saturday). Kansas City’s left-hander has given up five doubles and two home runs to righty bats this season. More importantly, right-handed hitters have a 35.1 percent hard-contact rate, 32.4 percent line-drive rate and 32.4 percent fly-ball rate against Bubic this season.

San Diego just had a shocking offensive outburst on Friday against Corbin Burnes. That won’t necessarily translate to Saturday, but they do find themselves in a much more favorable matchup against Aaron Ashby.
