Series Review: Guardians continue to be inconsistent vs. Tigers

The Cleveland Guardians are starting a stretch of very winnable series, starting with a three-game set in Cleveland against the Detroit Tigers. Yet, the team had the most erratic weekend, with a win on Friday, a rain postponement on Saturday, and a loss on Sunday. While the Guards have no control over the weather, the two-run loss on Sunday was completely on them.

Steven Kwan got dropped in the order, hopefully helping the rookie snap his cold streak. We also saw the return of Yu Chang to the lineup, which saw him go 0-3. Josh Naylor returned to the lineup as well, going 1-2, with a home run (RBI/Run), and a walk, upping his season total to six home runs.

He was the only offense on Sunday to brag about, however, besides Owen Miller, who went 2-4 and an RBI. The up and down of the Guardians offense is not helping things right now, and hopefully, that gets figured out, as its’ tough watching Shane Bieber throw 10 strikeouts and lose because he gave up just three runs.
